The Founder – Ted Hitchcock
Ted Hitchcock, founder of Hitchcock Roofing and Construction, launched the company in 1983 with a mission to deliver top-quality craftsmanship and reliable service. A lifelong animal lover and Cape Cod resident, Ted built his business on strong values shaped by his early experiences and military service.
Just three days after graduating high school, Ted enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he learned the importance of discipline, precision, and doing things the right way. These principles became the foundation of his company and continue to guide every project Hitchcock Roofing undertakes.
After completing his military service in 1979, Ted returned to Cape Cod and spent several years working under local home improvement contractor Herb Cahoon. Describing Herb as “old school,” Ted credits his mentor for teaching him the hands-on skills and customer-first mindset that have become hallmarks of his business.
Today, Hitchcock Roofing & Siding is known for its old-school ethos combined with cutting-edge technology—bringing integrity, efficiency, and excellence to every roofing and construction project across Cape Cod.
